Education platform delivered end to end: public area, company SSO, learning tracks, video served through signed S3 links, an application quiz and an admin panel. Used today by 15+ mentees.
- Context
- Education portal in two sub-projects, a React SPA and a NestJS API, with a public landing page and an authenticated area for courses, tracks and videos.
- Pressure
- The company already had its own SSO, and course video cannot be served straight from the bucket.
- Decision
- Reuse corporate SSO instead of reimplementing auth, address media by hash under separate prefixes, and hand out links through an authenticated API.
- Evidence
- A SHA256 per stored object recorded in the database; Swagger and Redoc documenting the API; unit and E2E Jest tests; a health endpoint reporting database state.
- Impact
- No bucket credential ever reaches the client, and the model absorbed tracks, playlists and class material without a domain rewrite.
